Honorable Men and Women of the Cabinet,

Today, I am here to remind you all of the war that plaguing our rising nation. When the war began six years ago, we could not have imagined the sheer number of lives it would claim. However, the ongoing crisis has finally achieved the domestic and international attention it deserves. Enough is enough. The battle between the army and the drug cartels is threatening to reverse everything we have worked hard to achieve: our growing economy, Mexico’s role in the international community, and the increased presence of the middle class. The nation as a whole will not progress as long as the cartels operate. As servants of the Mexican state, your job will be to determine the appropriate policies to dismantle these heinous organizations.
