2020: The CDC on Antibiotic Resistance

Our greatest tool has become our greatest weapon.  Due to the abundant overuse of antibiotics, our society as we know it is facing what could be one our greatest obstacles in recent history.  Within the next 30 years, superbugs are projected to drastically cut into the global population with projected death tolls totalling 300 million with more people dying annually from antibiotic resistance than from cancer.  We have reached a point where action must be taken.  Together, as one of the global forefronts of health concerns and disease control, it is our duty to prevent this tool for saving lives from taking them.
