Another day, another conflict. The aftershocks of the Sino-Soviet Communist split are still resulting in political turmoil nearly a decade later. Distrust among the Khmer Rouge arises after Vietnam and Cambodia’s alliance during the Vietnam War. Believing that the Vietnamese Communist are scheming to form an Indochinese federation with Vietnam as the centerfold, the Khmer Rouge purges Vietnamese influences and begins to attack.
With the world watching closely as the conflict rapidly unfolds into all-out war, countries across the world join in to assert dominance and gain political influence throughout the area. With the support and forces of the Soviet Union, China, the United Kingdom, and the United States, the conflict was continues for many years.
Will the Vietnamese triumph over their invaders and secure their lasting influence in the region? Or will Cambodia successfully conquer and end their lasting fear? Your actions will influence the outcomes of history forever.
