HATSHEPSUT’S REIGN

The year is 1476 BC, and Hatshepsut is reigning over Egypt as the fifth pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty in place of her two-year-old son, Thutmose III. Having established her legitimacy through the skillful presentation of her heritage and knowledge of her empire’s religion, Hatshepsut has now begun to consolidate her power and form a strong network of support from the people of Egypt.

This committee will take place two years after Hatshepsut's rise to power, focusing on the establishment of her court. Delegates will work to implement the revolutionary ideas Hatshepsut ingrained into her kingdom, such as trade routes and building projects. Whether it is establishing temples or connections to other kingdoms, delegates have endless possibilities for empire creation.

Delegates will have the chance to live in Ancient Egypt and attempt to make their name known throughout the centuries. Working on the court of one of the most successful pharaohs in recorded history, this is sure to be a fast-paced and entertaining committee.
