ABOUT THE FLOWER WARS: TLAXCALA-HUEJOTZINGO-CHOLULA COALITION

The Flower War, or Xōchiyāōyōtl in Nahuatl, was a series of ritualistic conflicts between the Aztec Triple Alliance and its enemies, the city-states Tlaxcala, Huejotzingo, and Cholula. The year is 1505. For weeks, the Aztec Empire has moved in closer and closer to the Coalition borders. Trade routes have vanished, and vital resources—cotton, stone, salt, and food—are choked off by imperial blockades. People are afraid that an Aztec conquest is looming in the air. Between managing internal politics of the coalition and the threat of destruction, can delegates unite their city-states to end the cycle of ritualistic conflict?
