ABOUT THE OLIVIA POPE AND ASSOCIATES
From the hit show Scandal, Olivia Pople is a renowned Crisis Manager who ran her own firm, Olivia Pople & Associates. Delegates will take on the roles of key members of the firm, gladiators in suits, as well as White House officials, journalists, political operatives, and intelligence figures. From covering up explosive affairs to handling election-rigging allegations, cyber leaks, assassinations, and constitutional crises, every decision carries significant legal, ethical, and political consequences. Delegates must navigate the high-stakes world of Washington politics, balancing strategy, loyalty, and public perception with every move they make.

Michael Tsegaye
Michael is a junior in the Pardee School of Global Studies studying International Relations (with a focus on Asia/Foreign Policy and Security Studies with a minor in Japanese Language and Literature. Having served as the Undersecretary General of Assemblies last year, he is excited to return to be USG of the Advanced Committees for BarMUN XIX! Michael started his involvement in Model UN in College, but since then has had the opportunity to travel across North America, and has the honor of serving as MUN@BU’s Co-Head Delegate for the 2025-2026 Year. Outside of Model UN, his recent interests include playing catan, rock climbing, and editing/writing for Boston University’s premier International Relations journal, the International Relations Review. Overall, you can expect to see interesting and innovative committee topics and mechanics in the Advanced Committees at BarMUN XIX and Michael is excited to see the variety of delegates who will take on that challenge.
