ABOUT THE PIRATE QUEEN: GUANGDONG PIRATE CONFEDERATION (1808)

The year is 1808. Zheng Yi Sao’s confederation reigns supreme in the South China Sea with over 50,000 pirates under her command. Members of her royal court are tasked with expanding her influence and keeping Qing and other colonial powers out. As the years pass, the pirate’s life is becoming less popular, but delegates must do what they can to preserve this way of life. Members of the court will be tasked with keeping control of the Guangdong Bay, navigating the complex colonial alliances, and protecting freedom from any larger government. The future of Zheng Yi Sao’s confederation now rests in your hands.

Class of 2029 | he/him

Aidan is in the class of 2029 at the Boston University Pardee School of Global Studies studying International Relations on the Middle East and Africa regional track with a minor in Urban Studies. He’s originally from San Diego, California.

Aidan is a member of MUN@BU and regularly travels around the circuit competing, almost exclusively in crisis. This was his first experience with Model UN, but he’s gone on to staff BU’s high school conference, BosMUN, and, of course, BarMUN. He’s also a member of the BU Urbanism Club where he advocates for a better built environment for BU students and Boston as a whole. In his free time he loves exploring Boston, watching baseball (Go Padres!!), and playing video games.

Boston is his favorite city in the country and he can’t wait for you all to visit this lovely city for the latest and greatest iteration of BarMUN! He is very excited to be your USG of Crisis for the upcoming conference and can’t wait to see how you all solve the complex and evolving problems faced in committee. Make waves!
