ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR MIGRATION

The International Organization for Migration provides operational assistance to migrants, including internally displaced persons, refugees, and migrant workers. Delegates in this committee will focus on the broader integration of migrants from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds into urban spaces. At the same time, refugee camps often face heightened risks of disease and poor living conditions. Delegates must work together to develop programs and initiatives that improve public health, enhance living standards, and ensure safer and more sustainable environments for displaced populations.

Class of 2027 | she/her

Madison is part of the class of 2027 here at Boston University studying International Relations with a minor in Political Science with tracks in the Middle East and North Africa and Foreign Policy and Security Studies. Madison is originally from Manhattan Beach, California, a beach town in Los Angeles. Her first experience with MUN was as a freshman in high school when she joined her high school’s introductory team, then later joined their advanced team.

Since coming to BU, Madison has been involved in MUN@BU, BosMUN, and BarMUN, obviously. Outside of Model UN, Madison is a member of the pre-law society and holds an officer position in her sorority Gamma Phi Beta.

With her very little free time, Madison loves going to corepower with friends, trying new coffee shops in and around Boston, and hosting dinner parties. Additionally, she loves to travel and is looking forward to traveling abroad in the future. She hopes to attend law school in Los Angeles after graduating from Boston University. Madison is so excited to be one of the USGs for this BarMUN and help create an amazing conference weekend!!
